The color purple

Many of you avid blog-goers out there are probably already familiar with the work of Australian-based photographer Corrie Bond, whose portfolio is endlessly gorgeous and inspiring. I literally gasped when I saw these photos, which were featured in an editorial for Marie Claire Australia. Perfect for spring, aren't they?

"I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it."

Spring fever at Ruche

Have you seen the fabulous spring lookbooks over at Ruche? They're the result of a collaboration with the talented Stephanie Williams, who happens to be one of my favorite photographers. I can't decide which I adore more, the clothing or the photography!

Through the Lens: Sweet feet

"The civilized man has built a coach, but has lost the use of his feet," Ralph Waldo Emerson muses in one of his most famous essays, "Self-Reliance." While I don't completely agree with Emerson, I do think we've lost a great deal of appreciation for our most basic mode of transportation (walking) and the devices which render it possible (our tootsies). For twenty-two years my size fives have taken me wherever I needed to go, and I've rarely paused to reward them as I should. So, here's a tiny tribute to forgotten feet. These sweet photos may be just the inspiration I need to finally give my hardworking tootsies the pampering they deserve.

Real Wedding: Kelly and Steve

How freaking gorgeous is this Los Angeles backyard wedding? (Yes, that's someone's backyard--the bride's parents' backyard, to be exact. I die.) Megan from La Partie Events styled the affair and put together all of the florals, including Kelly's bouquet of beautiful white hydrangeas and fresh rosemary. The bride looked stunning in Monique Lhuillier, and her bridesmaids donned J.Crew. I love, love, love everything about this wedding.

P.S. This wedding was featured on Once Wed. Hop on over there for more photos and details, plus a list of vendors.

Portrait Session: Stacie and Geoff

I know these have been floating around the blogging world for some time now, but they're too special not to share. This is hands-down my favorite portrait session of all time.
