Irene Suchocki describes herself as a "purveyor of little poems for the eyes," and a glimpse into her portfolio undeniably confirms that statement. I've been itching to get my hands on a few of her prints ever since I stumbled upon her Etsy shop a few days ago. I especially adore her wonderfully ethereal Paris, City of Love series. Visit her website, blog, or Etsy shop to view more of her exquisite work.

Snapshots: Twilight cast
Celebrity photographs are a dime a dozen these days. Most of the time they fail to bait my interest, but every now and then one catches my eye. I've decided to share some of my favorites with you in a series I'm titling Snapshots.
These images of the Twilight cast were shot by photographer Peggy Sirota at California's Ventura Farms, and several were featured in the December 2008 issue of Vanity Fair. The gorgeous natural light gives the photos an organic feel, which I love. You can view more of Peggy's work here.

Sweet Midwestern style
Amy Butler does it all. Though she is known primarily for her gorgeous fabrics, this busy gal has designed everything from home decor and handbags to stationery and giftwrap. Amy even teamed up with K & Company to create a line of too-cute paper craft supplies. I barely know how to sew, but Amy's fabrics inspire me to have a go at it. I spent nearly an hour perusing her website, which is overflowing with design inspiration. (By the way, all of the images on Amy's website were photographed by her husband, David. Pure eye candy, aren't they? What a talented pair.) You can view more of her work here.

A delightful display
I'm in love with these photos of Store 518 shot by Lee Clower. Aren't they just dreamy?

Belated blogger
I'm a belated blogger.
Sadly, I've had very little time to dedicate to blogging in the past few weeks, so I'm only getting the chance to share my experiences from a couple of weekends ago with you now. We flew up to Oahu again to do more apartment hunting.....and finally found a place! We spent a few hours with some friends, went to an appointment with our realtor, then stopped at Mai Tai's for a couple of drinks before heading to the airport to fly back home. On Sunday we went to the farmer's market for some fresh veggies, ran a few errands, and stopped for lunch at 1 + 1 Cafe. (Chicken pho for me!) All in all, it was a great weekend.

Kid in a candy store
Last Sunday I was finally able to visit Sugar Coast Candy, a quaint little downtown candy shop that I've had my eye on for some time. It was my first time there, and it didn't disappoint. The store is bursting not only with sugary confections but also with bright, juicy color. What a treat for the eyes and tastebuds! I ended up buying two rather large cartons of cotton candy and a bag of saltwater taffy. My seemingly insatiable sweet tooth is, for the time being, perfectly content.
